The album "Esta es mi mecanica," by famous Cuban trumpet player Jose Miguel Crego, known as "El Greco," is nominated in the Instrumental Music category to the Cubadisco 2009 music fair, May 16-24 in this capital.

The CD, recorded by the Cuban Bis Music label, is based on the jazz concept of Randy Brecker, kool style. The compositions belong to him, with Pucho Lopez and Jorge Luis Chicoy as orchestrators. The recording was led by Alfredo Machado, and Jose Manuel Garcia was the general director.

The double CD includes songs like "Gozar," "Segunda carta de amor y distancia," "La lucha del Greco," "Swing en Las Tunas," "Una de cal y otra de arena," "Cuestiones de domingo," "Sentimiento," "Mi amor a Galicia," "Perico y Paula," "Blues Beta," and "El rey del brillo."

Also on the list are "22 in the 70," "Amor a primera vista," "Cajita", "Melancolico con piano," "Caliente, pero no quema," "La razon", "Caminando por Ocean Dream avenue," "Lady of my life," "Camino al aeropuerto," La cachimba," "Latin flavor," and "Esta es mi mecanica."

This album was recorded to be listened to, talked about and enjoyed, said El Greco.

The Havana trumpet player has recorded over forty memorable albums, seven of them as a soloist. He has performed on important jazz and salsa stages like the Lincoln Center in New York and Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London.
